Sounds better than the Apple brand dongle, but not as durable
First, I agree with the reviews that say this dongle is touchy and loses connection when attached to an iPhone and carried around. That said, when my phone is stationary the connection is good.Second, the sound quality of the DAC in the dongle is fantastic when paired with a cheap pair of IEMs (for those wanting to know, Linsoul Salnotes Zeros - first version, not the second). The sound is superior to the Apple brand dongle. The Apple brand does stay connected when moving around. But if I'm doing something else while listening to music, Bluetooth earbuds are just fine for sound quality.EDIT - 11/12/2024 - I also ordered the USB-C version of this dongle to see if it could improve the sound quality of an old cheap Android phone. It did indeed.

Not working
Not working at all when connected to my iPhone. I have tried many headphones but nothing. It worked only once but it stopped after 1 min.

on okay aux cord
I got this cord to use in my car as it didn't have apple play. This auxiliary cord for an iPhone is decent. The cord was a sufficient length and seemed sturdy but it didn't last long. The cord got stuck between the seat and the center console and when I pulled it out the end ripped off and I couldn't use it anymore. seems like the cord should have been made a little more sturdy. had to replace it too soon. I went with a different brand.

Still works after a year
Bought this a while ago and still use it for all my cars and my aux cords

Maybe ok
Seemed well-made. I appreciated the wire part was thicker than Apple’s original, albeit less flexible. So far, one of these just stopped working.

Defective after 3-6 months
I bought these in August of 2023 and both are now unusable. The first adapter started with audio cutout after 2 months and the second started 2 months after I started using it. So, I guess you get what you pay for. Certainly not expensive, but bummer i have to order again but will try some other vendor. Nothing stinks more than being on a walk/run, and the audio keeps cutting in and out.

It broke the second time I used it. How sad, I really liked it.
Got it today 09/16/24 and it broke the second time I used it. It broke off inside of my iPhone luckily it was easy to get out so I didn’t panic. I didn’t think to take a picture of it inside of my phone because it was half out of the plug and easy to grab a paper clip to dig it out with. The first time I used it I thought it was nice. Although the sound was a little low. I had decided to get this instead of just a pair of lightning headphones because I needed both types of headphones and I thought this would save me money. I’m going to give it 3 stars because it feels like everything but the tiny piece that goes inside of the iPhone is nice quality. I was heading off to bed when I remembered to write this review so that it would be the same day I got it.

Very low quality and keeps disconnecting
I just started using this adapter today, and I am sorely disappointed with it. I lost my apple branded adapter, and I really needed a replacement so I could have it at work, so I bought these. When I first used them, they seemed completly fine, for the first few minutes, but then I noticed that my music would stop, and when I went to press play again, it would just play on my phones speaker. The adapter was fully plugged in. After some finagling, it reconnected, but would disconnect again my headphone cable, or phone itself moved in a weird way. I just wanted to work and listen to my music, not struggle to get this thing to work. The volume was also an issue. It was really loud, even if I had my phone volume set to only about 25%, and when I messed with the volume, sometimes the volume wouldn't change if I turned it up higher. It stayed the same. All very odd.The last thing I want to mention is that my phone restarted a couple times when I tried adjusting the cable. Kind of alarming.I wouldn't recommend these at all.
