Q: How long are the straps please?

Nope, there is no mosquito net included just the hammock and the ropes.

Q: My trees are 3 metres apart, I know it recommends further but would 3 metres still be ok ?

It'll be a tight fit but yeah should be ok. The hammock with the carribenas is 2.8m long.
