This takes 4 AA batteries but is smaller than most of the lanterns that take 2-3 AA batteries. The brightness is excellent, brighter than my 10 year old Rayovac Sportsman lantern that takes 3 D cell batteries and much smaller. This was a great addition to my car camping kit.

This was much smaller than anticipated, only about 5 inches tall. It looks like a toy lantern

Great lantern for deaf person. Excellent bright light. I bought 4 mini 7 day Day Duro lanterns for my sons.I put lantern on bed side. I also bought 30 Day Durn . Very worth to buy lanterns.

First one I had died on me. Was. A goo light so had to give a secco d try.

A very small, lightweight lantern that exceeded my expectations.Don't know about battery life, but this is VERY bright for a lantern this size.

Great little lantern! It's small and compact, perfect for hanging from the center of a tent - it has a retractable hook on the bottom and the light diffuser is detachable. Runs on AA batteries which is a plus (easy to find rechargable and readily available).

Small and very portable. Easy to bring with you in your trips because it does not eat too much space

I've gotten 4 of these over the years and I'm really happy with them. They work great and have held up to my kids dropping them all over the place. Worth the money.

I purchased this lantern because of it's size and ability to light up a room completely.my wife took it on a trip to the Philippines to visit her family, and they are always experiencing power failures, this lantern is the cats whiskers, compact,and very effective, i thought it was priced a little high, but i guess if you want quality this is the unit to get, i highly recommend this little guy
