Dissapointing
With all the hype they created around this game and the whole kickstarter deal, I expected awesome animations, great script or at least some quality still images, but... As with most of the remakes today, it just SUCKS! For all of you who supported the project with donations, you should get your money back! Al Lowe, you are a dissapiontment to your fans.

some info on the game- no real spoilers
OK, this is a remake of the First game of the L.S. Larry series. They used to original controls from the 1st game, which may feel dated and somewhat difficult to use, that may annoy new gamers (but is intended for nostalgia purposes). Like the original game u can have sex with the hooker (multiple times), and Larry will find way to screw-up sure things. Some advice touch everything. The graphics are updated but still designed to be low quality so you will have a hard time seeing items you need. Pay attention to the written items, they will help you. If you dial 867-5309, on the phone you will still get the message from Jenny (hidden Easter Eggs like this are an Al Lowe special). The back of the box is a bit confusing.. in the text it says "NO nudity an no four letter words!", but the LSRB box says Partial Nudity. The LSRB box is the correct one. If you have played the original, you know the trick to seeing the girl at the end half-naked (it just takes more effort). Some computers will have problems with the Sound on this game. (hey another flashback from the original). The computer slots to make enough money to finish the game are as annoying as all computer slots were back in the day and will require constant saves. All in all its a decent (NOSTALGIA) remake of the old one.. you may laugh, you may cry, and you probably will DIE (a lot){unless u cheat and use a walkthrough-}. Personally tho he could have added more Easter Eggs, and made some effort to add the beautiful women who are nothing but background into the game...If there are girls in the game let Larry make a Play for em!

An Excellent Remake for a Classic
Leisure Suit Larry is a game about a 40 something year old virgin who is perpetually trying to find love (well sex really). At a time when games by and large stayed away from sex, Larry embraced it full force and gave us some very adult (i.e. low brow) hilarious adventures. This is the first game in the series and has been remastered (of sorts) for a new generation after being funded on Kickstarter. If the idea of a point and click adventure, or a crude (but funny) game is unappealing then I doubt you will have a good time with it. If, however, you are willing to laugh at some great innuendo and tease out some puzzles, then I can think of few other great classic games that are easily accessible to a modern audience.Personally I felt that the points that were added were just enough to make it feel fresh (the little twists here and there made me bust out laughing when I expected one thing and got another) and of course the attention to detail is impressive with the backgrounds and character models being well done perhaps not to the level that another user was hoping for but certainly they look fantastic when compared to the VGA remake. All of the technical aspects are done well and I feel that they only added the experience rather than detracted. But the real star was the little tweaks that were made to the gameplay and the overall story. The game is largely the same as it was when first released, but another woman has been added and with her comes a few new puzzles thrown into the mix, as well as some slight tweaks to others throughout. Again if you're a fan of the original you will have no trouble spotting them and should provide you with a few surprises in the best possible sense. If you are not aware of the original game, I would imagine that you'll still have an enjoyable time with this adventure game, but do realize that it was written for a different time and retains much of those same trappings, which is part of its charm really. Larry doesn't move with a single button, can perish at numerous locations (though it is fairly forgiving when it comes to making a mistake that cost Larry his life, especially considering it was a Sierra game) and will require some moderately creative thinking to get him through his night in Lost Wages. It is by no means the most difficult adventure game out there, in fact I would consider it one of the easier ones, but if you are not familiar with this type of gameplay you may get frustrated at times.Honestly I would recommend playing the original (or preferably the VGA remake) first and then playing through this one again. The attention and care that was put into this remake makes it all the more enjoyable and I would recommend it to any adventure gaming fan who has either yet to experience one of the classics and is turned off by going too far back into the past, or for those of us that are Larry fans through and through. Al Lowe and company did a great job and I sincerely hope that they remake the other games in the series as they only got better from then on.

Not greatly impressed
Being a huge LSL fan and having played every game through several times I wasn't greatly impressed. A few new jokes, better graphics obviously, but I was hoping for more classic Al Lowe Easter eggs to bring it up to LSL 7 standards. One plus was the navigation while in the taxi was faster and much easier. I hope this was a success enough to convince them to 'reload' LSL 2, 3,5 & 6.

Great Replay of Great Gaming Memories
It has been many hours of joy playing classic adventure games. Harken back to the old days of Sierra Online and the great series adventure games they put out. Now if only they would put out King's Quest and Space Quest too!
