Takes great pictures for security and wildlife
The device (bought 2) works as advertised, very easy to set up and the installation is entirely up to you where you place it. If you are using it for security be aware that a red light flashes and is very noticeable at night. The range for getting a good picture seems to be around 50 feet at night (phot is B&W) but it seems to increase during daylight (photos are in color). When the camera seemed to take pictures of ghost figures I moved it away from a light source (i.e. spotlights) and more to an obscure place and the photos came out fine. The batteries seem to last about 3 months, as advertised, and a 32GB card has more than 75% room with moderate traffic after 3 months. The pictures transfer from the card to ahard drive very easy, with the option of erasing the card or just continue recording. The novelty when new is to check the card often but it wears off and it help to schedule t least one day a month. The card is easy to remove but it is very important to turn the camera off or it's possible static electricity from the battery will ruin the card. The bundgee cords that come with the camera are small and would be fine to attach to a tree about the diameter of a 4x4 post. Remember trees grow like butts and what fit in a size 32 will not in a few years.I would (and did) recommend this product to friends and family. It is not a substitute for a high quality security system but just checking on what the nightlife is doing around the house is fine.

Don't bother
I thought this camera was going to work. It is "reasonably" priced, but I was slightly hesitant since there were no reviews on the product. Turns out there was a good reason for that- and now I am returning it. Here is my review: At first it actually took a few good pictures of birds coming in to water. This was during morning under ideal conditions. But from high noon on, all the pictures were completely washed out (mind you, it was set up pointing away from the arc of the sun; I've done this about a hundred times). Later, as dusk came on, there was no flash and pictures became increasingly grainy well into the night. I think there were some javelina there, but who could tell. Let me add that there was no time/date stamp- and I know it was perfectly set up! Finally, when the LED flash did go off, all that was captured was blinding white. Maybe those were deer feet running away- probably never to return?! After that, there was no more camera; just an inert hunk of junk. If Wildgame Innovations were to send me another, brand new one for free, it would end up in the trash. This is my first and last Wildlife Innovations product, are they all like that?

A good entry level game trail camera.
Two issues on this unit. First, the trigger time is more than the <1 sec advertised.Second, the display is small and difficult to read.

Bright flash
The "IR" flash is extremely visible. Don't get this to catch trespassers. They'll take it too...

I must be doing something wrong
The media could not be loaded. Â Seems ok during day. Night time is big over exposed bright spot.
