Heated blankets can be very unreliable and expensive. This blanket is moderately priced but luxuriously comfortable. It is very soft, warm before heating, heats up very quickly, is cozy on setting 1, toasty on 3. The cords are perfectly long for my bed. The controller lights up when adjusting it but soon turns off to not disturb your sleep. And I appreciate that Serta ensures their blankets to be free from unsafe emissions. I am delighted with it and will aim to update this review, in a year, for endurance.

We live in Florida so basically use the blanket as a lightweight blanket all year long. We turn it on in winter instead of using the heat at night and it works great for us.This blanket is great, it is so very soft, heats up quickly and looks lovely! I can’t say as to washing it but so far, it’s a great blanket!

Velvety soft fabric but only mild heat. I turned both controls on High heat, but they barely warm, more like a heated throw. Not enough heat for me, but I kept it for the lovely soft fabric. So comfy. It also stipulates that you must wash it on gentle and only dry it on cool for no more than 5 minutes, then hang it up to complete drying, do not fold it, do not sit on it, do not lay anything on it, etc. So I dont expect it will last long. so usually i get one season out of an elec blanket and then try to wash it and then it doesn't work after. or it just quits working. i tend to buy them in the summer/fall when the prices are lower then break them out for winter. i have several just in the closet because they are still very warm even if they don't 'work' and who knows when you'll need an extra blanket right?!a lot of reviews have been critical of the controller. not sure what the problem is. it's basic but very easy to use, works fine. sure if you hit the wrong button you have to start over but it takes all of 10 seconds so what?! I only got the twin even though i have a king bed, just need enough for me and dealing with 2 controllers would be a real hassle. plus less costly.also some reviews say the cord isn't long enough. ok i suppose if you are trying to keep the controller by your head to adjust the temp in the middle of the night, it might be short depending on where you plug it in. but really, set it and leave it. trying to deal with the cord and the blanket and all that in the night is just a hassle.ok so this year i have kept it out past winter - got a rescue cat who really likes to sleep on it so i just leave it off or at level 1 heat. it has been working fine since i broke it open for winter...so maybe 8 months so far. i decided to wash it - on 'delicates, cold water, low spin. that was fine, came out kind of wet. so i put it in the dryer, delicates, low heat. dried fine, still slightly damp so i decided to see if it still worked to let it self dry the last bit. the connector had come off of the blanket and was inside. but i was able to fish it out easily enough and plug it in. and *it works*!! that's a first. might not need to get a new one this year for once.as far as the blanket goes, it's super soft and warm. even without the heat on it's very warm. it's not the kind that gets piping hot - even on level ten you really only feel a little warmth on your hand. but once you are underneath there is plenty of heat. even on the coldest nights in this old drafty building i don't think i ever went higher than 7 or 8. four or 5 is really enough most of the time.the most annoying thing - as with all elec blankets - is the cord is always getting into my feet. and as some have noted, it's very 'slippery' so it tends to move around, change orientation a lot, esp if you are a toss&turner like i am.so i have tried several different brands over the past many years and this is the first one that didn't crap out after washing or just for no reason at all.

I love the vanilla color --it looks pretty and high-end. Due to some other reviews I worried it may not be warm enough as others stated that the wires did not cover the edge. This fact does not impact my satisfaction because it does warm the entire top surface of my bed. I recommend this blanket based on looks and performance.

The Cord to hook the Blanket at the end of the bed is to short (96 inches) to reach to the side table to place the control onto. (PNEB1.1.1) We had to sit the heat controls in the floor . Our older model measured 152 Inches for our king bed. The blanket if correct size but not the cord to hook it up. Without the proper cord the eletric blanket is useless.

This is hands down the warmest/hottest heating blanket I’ve ever purchased. It gets almost hot. I like crawling into a warm bed in a cool room, but I don’t like to be hot when I sleep, so I usually preheat for about 20 minutes then shut it off when going to bed. I’ve tried sleeping with it on its lowest setting, but even then it is still too warm to make it through the night without waking up sweating. My bride love it tho and sleeps with on about usually on 8 or 10. I don’t know how she does it because the blanket almost feels hot when set that high. For anyone looking for a VERY warm heating blanket, this is it. It certainly beat my expectations.

The fabric was pretty, but very slick. The blanket slides around all over the bed. The control unit does not light up or show the temperature unless you press the button. You can't tell if the blanket is on or not. It does keep us warm, though
