Great at what it does
For years I have lived in hard water areas, and whilst it doesn't really bother me there are times when you would like to know just what is going on with the h20 you are drinking, where I live the water is as hard as nails, which for my tea habit is OK, it generally makes a decent cup of tea, but there are times when you would like softer water for a herbal tea, I like Dragon Fly Teas vanilla Rooibos tea, and hard water leaves an unpalatable film on the surface of the tea. Not ideal so I use a water filter and this device verifies that I have reduced the water hardness significantly!Definitely worth getting if you want to monitor the quality of water you get through your taps!

Near idea for a water testing device but…
Was expecting great things from this device, the temp is reading ok both in F and C, however the main purpose people buy these devices is for testing water quality, it’s simply doesn’t do that, the display on my device remained at 000ppm which is excellent as you know you have pure water, however I tested dirty dish water straight after and this machine still read 000ppm - not correct. I have sent this back for refund.

Very simple to use right away clear display and seems accurate
The media could not be loaded. It is fairly well constructed a little better than the average budget one from Ebay but not as good as your high end wands etcHas a little protective case for safe storage and the LCD display lights up when in use to display readings clearlyIt can tell temp of the water he EC and also PPMIv found it easy to use and most importantly it seems accurate overall not a bad budget option and will last about a year or so as iv had one similar before

The seller could’ve avoided putting used battery was new the item doesn’t work simpl
If you had bothered to put the working battery in there I would not have returned the item it has caused me nothing but aggravation it’s not fair I was looking forward to receiving the product today which I did but sadly I have to send it back and order another one

Excellent device for checking water PPM
This is a pleasure to use with it's already with battery inserted just pull the plastic tab to activate power, and the clear bright backlight which is green when zero and red when giving a reading.I have tested it on tap water and jug filter water and the readings differ between the two where the tap was about 210 PPM and the jug was 200. I then used it on the cats water fountain to be horrified that it was 240. So this can be used not just for pools but for household water checking tasks.I'm already finding it invaluable and I'm sure I will find more uses as time goes on.The reading is taken automatically that it's powered on, and a new reading can be made by pressing clear. The unit is powered off with a long press. It comes with a protective cover but I like to let it air dry before using that.

it does not work and it would cost more to send it back
it does not measure the PPM of the water (drinking water) and thats the only reason I bought it, our return agent is not functioning at the moment, it would cost me more send to back.

Doesn’t do PPM, only does temperature.
Literally never measured PpM, only did temperature, very disappointing. Then had surgery so missed the return window and am left with a glorified temperature reader. Disappointing

don't buy hard to get a reading and broke after 4 tests
