Virtual ChemLab: General Chemistry Student Workbook + Access Code v. 4.5

I had to purchase this for a chemistry class and some of the directions are horrible. When I had finally figured out the procedure then other students were contacting me on how to complete the process. I will not state that all the directions are horrible but the labs that were required for this course made the experience harder than it needed to be. The author of this workbook should test out all of the directions before publishing it because then students would not struggle as much.

Excellent resource for homeschoolers. Takes some getting used to maneuvering around, but once you're accustomed to it, it's very easy to use. The workbook has directions for over 80 chemistry labs which I correlate with topics in Brown, LeMay, and Bursten's Chemistry:The Central Science. We enjoy the graphics and realistic sound effects (liquids being poured, clinking of metals when the drawer is opened, etc.).

Other reviews are fake! Nothing about the product description said that I wouldn't be able to use the virtual lab which was the whole point! I received the workbook but Pearson isn't letting me use the access code to register. I see no way around this unless you buy new. The workbook by itself is useless. Will be returning immediately unless I find a solution.

Its a school book. This wasn't terrible priced as almost every school book is. One more class closer to receiving an overpriced piece of paper to collect dust on my wall. WHOOP WHOOP.

Waste of money but necessary...ugh school

My daughter began using the CD right away and it worked very well on our Mac. She had a great time using the program and looks forward to using more of this program in her high school Chemistry course.

No access code did not help at all

Would that it was COMPLETELY online - I would have preferred access to the lab instructions online as well, in a printable format. Registration is not as easy as it should be either. Somehow I registered as a student rather than a teacher.
