I bought this to go camping. VERY thin material BUT sturdy as all get out. Super easy set up. I'm 5'5 and 200lbs, straps were strong and the clips worked like a charm! Slept in it two nights and it was pretty comfortable! I had a huge fuzzy blanket, wrapped up like taco. You'll need something to lay on as your back will be freezing. But again I was wrapped up in the middle of October in the mountains and I was fine! For a quick camping trip this hammock was great. The rain fly... tiny, not particularly helpful. But the fog came down the mountain and I was dry enough, if that helps at all 🤷‍♀️

First off, for the price this is a great deal. There are better designed hammock sleep systems out there, but they all cost far more than this budget-level item. The instructions are terrible, but if you're interested in hammock camping you've either done it before or can watch a YouTube video so that isn't a huge deal. Some of the smaller lines provided with the hammock snapped on first use, which I recommend you replace with 550 cord of some type. The rain fly really isn't big enough, which is my primary complaint. Setting it up diagonally just doesn't cover the hammock from end to end, so if you get a downpour, either your feet or head will get soaked. That's not a great choice to have to make. At this point I'm not sure if I'd recommend it or not, since there are similarly-priced products without the rain fly, some priced even cheaper than this model. Unfortunately without trying those other hammocks I can't say whether they are a better product than this one or not. It's pretty easy to set up your own tarp, adequately sized for the job, so I'm not sure it's worth paying the difference between those without the rain fly and this one. You'll have to decide. The hammock itself is fine, the mosquito netting is fine, and the zippers seem to hold up pretty well under use, so I don't have any major complaints or issues with the product, but my ho-hum feelings in regard to it really doesn't justify a higher rating. Not a bad product, but not a great one either.

I was very excited to receive this camping hammock package, the hammock itself was of a decent quality and would have don the job required of it, I’m sure.However the rain fly was a absolutely not big enough. Certainly not the 9’8”x9’8” size advertised.So my planning for camping trip was made a little more complicated but I understood that maybe I got an older style rain fly by mistake, I sent it back to exchange for the correct product.Delays in return shipping meant I was running very tight on getting it in time for the planned camping trip.The replacement arrived over a week later than expected, the afternoon before I left to go camping.Excitedly, I opened the package and discovered...the same tiny rain fly as before.I contacted Amazon to which I got the usual “Oh no! Just return it again and we’ll give you money back” answer.I had to bounce down to Walmart and buy a cheap tent or sleep under a bush at the campsiteI mean, thanks for the return of the money but what I really wanted was what was the hammock camping package as advertised.

Overall I was really happy with my purchase. It was definitely the best sleep I’ve ever had while camping, no doubt about that. The materials all held up find on a 3 day backpacking trip. Not very light weight but totally acceptable for the price range. I’m giving this 4 starts instead of 5 because all of the cordage that came with it was really weak feeling and it was a forest green color so I decided to replace it with some yellow 550 cord. I’m glad I did because the green color blended in perfectly with the forest floor and would have been really annoying. I also replaced the carabiners. They were heavy and had a cheap feel to them so I replaced them with some Black Diamond aluminum wire gate carabiners. Much lighter and stronger. My upgrades were overkill, but I am glad I did it. I have a lot more confidence in the kit now. However I’m sure you don’t need to worry about it. The kit is an exceptional value for the money. Definitely recommend.

Great product! Love that the bug net is built in. Haven't needed the rain fly yet but looks to be good quality. 4 stars because it should really come with a hammock quilt in order to be truly out of package ready to camp.

Listen, I had some serious doubts as to whether or not this hammock was going to hold me (6’2” - 240 lbs). It’s held up perfectly, even with me rolling around all night!Super easy setup and adjustment. The mosquito net works perfectly. Zipper on the net appears to be well-build. Only time will tell how it will hold up. Make sure to get the rain cover. I didn’t use a sleeping pad, but the hammock looks like it will support one fully. Love the inside storage pouch. Also, the attached carrying bag is a great convenience and acts as a second storage pouch.Overall, I highly recommend this hammock.

this is a great hammock for the spring and summer, i do not suggest bringing it out in the winter. make sure you do your research if you are thinking of using a hammock for the winter. other than that, the wuality of this hammock was good and it held me up all through out the night I'm 5'11 and 240 pounds to give you an idea, plus my 20 pounds of gear i slept with inside.

I’ve only used one time so far. I accidentally ripped part of the mosquito next on my fault. But it’s seriously great. I slept better in it then I did in a tent. Felt like I was getting hugged. Was a bit of a pain to set up since I’ve never used one but simple to follow the directions if you don’t loose it. I would use until it breaks (hopefully a few uses).
