Urban Legends: Bloody Mary

This was a decent enough movie, but the ending left a lot to be desired - the girl has a head wound but is still hanging out at the cemetery and doesn't seem to be concerned about her brother .. ??

I liked it ,good story , the lighting , actors , was great.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed this movie. We didn't think it was bad considering the negative reviews. It was better than # 2. Rent first if your worried. Just think of it as a good horror movie and not a sequel (kind of like Halloween 3). Also if your scared of spiders DO NOT WATCH.

Urban Legends: Bloody Mary is the third instalment in the Urban Legend film series and was made in 2005. Released direct-to-video, it moves further away from the horror element being more supernatural based. It’s not a slasher/horror but more of a supernatural detective thriller using the Urban legend theme.The film opens to sort of prequel theme set in 1969 and explains the Bloody Mary legend. Jump forward to 2005 and three girls on a sleep-over get caught up in the legend. As the bodies multiply and the graveyard fills, so Samantha Owens [Kate Mara ] and her brother David [Robert Vito] try to make sense of the killings, but whose behind them, sis, the brother, the stepdad or is it someone else?This single disc opens to a main menu featuring much the same bonus material as the first 2 films; Language [Spanish or English], subtitles [reduced to 4 European and Hindi] scene selection, and making of and Play.This isn’t as scary as the others, but it does have a few jumpy moments, particularly at the start. What it does have is a more tangible story, being more of a who-dunnit rather than gore fest, although gore is present. I actually preferred the more defined storyline of this than the almost separate scenes of the others. But although I’d like to give it full marks, I can’t as the low budget does affect some of the CGI [which are still quite good considering the budget] and the pace is slower, but never boring. This is therefore a good **** rating, but not quite gaining the extra one as it will not please slash and gore fans.Footnote: this isn’t the final instalment. Number 4 was scheduled but the rights were sold. When sales of this beat expectations Sony bought the rights back but had to release it as Ghosts of Goldfield rather than the original title Urban Legends: Goldfield Murders. PS I think I’ll buy it if I can!

I'm quite a fan of the first film, its not one of the greatest horrors out there but the storyline is good. The 2nd film is pretty good, but not as good as the first. This one, well, its by far the worst.I purchased this as part of the collection when I came across it and my wife who used to be terrified of the Bloody Mary urban legend thought it would probably be quite good like the others. Sadly we were wrong, its a poor attempt of the blood and guts of the Final Destination series, they try to put brutal deaths in but they just don't have the impact they should. The CGI is pretty poor and the acting is awful.I think they should have ended it at the 2nd one and not continues any further.This is not scary in the slightest, a poor attempt at continuing the series, which went straight to DVD for a reason.

I purchased this DVD for a friend for Christmas and got a chance to see it for myself. This is the third movie in the trilogy; it's better than the 2nd one, but not as good as the 1st one. Overall it is an 'ok' movie and worth a watch if you're a 'Urban Legends' fan. Thank you.

I love this movie very good
