I acquired a Mitutoyo 505-628 dial caliper, slightly mistreated and with a thrashed box at a bargain price. Restored the caliper to perfect operation. This box fits that caliper perfectly. No movement or rattle whatsoever. Worth every dime to keep my very nice caliper in great shape.

I wish this case came with foam but other than that it fits a 12 inch Mitutoyo caliper perfectly

The case was inexpensive, but too high for the quality. It is very basic with no padding or actual hinges. It is better than nothing, but for a higher quality caliper this may not be the case for you. I had no problem with the seller and shipping.

Case is quite good quality and protective. Hopefully the photos will be helpful. Pictured with 8" Mitutoyo calipers. There are two hold-downs on the inside of the lid that keeps the caliper from rattling around in the case. These hold-downs have small pads on them to avoid marring the calipers. The latches are not the flimsy thin type and I do not anticipate them breaking off or wearing out. Hopefully the photos will be helpful. The outside of the case was scuffed up upon arrival or I would have given 5 stars instead of 4.

This case fits the Mitutoyo 8 inch calipers well. The latches hold tight but are easy to snap open. There is no padding but the calipers don’t rattle much at all when shaken, so it should be okay if dropped. The hinges are flexing plastic so may eventually fail. Overall I am glad to have this case.

A little smaller than expected overall, but the inside is big enough to hole the full size 8 inch Mitutoyo calipers I have. This replacement case does the job. Will see how long the hinge and latches last.

Did what its supposed to do. Holds calipers. Latching mechanism is strong enough, and the case is rigid.
