Oypla 14L 12V DC Car Cooler Picnic Bag Cold Portable Electric Cool

We bought this for a trip to rural France. We didn't want to go into any shops or service stations en route so we packed enough for two days of lunches (we had an overnight stop). We plugged it in the night before so that it was cold when we left then ran it off the 12v all day. We stopped for lunch in one of France's beautiful aires. It kept everything very cold, even the ice block remained frozen. We'd bought an adaptor so we could keep it plugged in at our stopover. It stayed cold for the second lunch. Nothing to criticise and everything to recommend. Good capacity and excellent value. Slightly noisy, which was to be expected, but not excessively so.

This did not work at first - but I unscrewed the 12v plug and put it back together and, hey presto, off we go!I have only used it with food/drinks straight from the fridge and using 3 freezer blocks. In this way it does the job but I haven't used it in really hot weather yet.

Packs small, works ok to cool maybe 10°C lower than ambient temperature, so it's useful for travel ...you must buy a 12-volt adapter separately from places like Halfords (£15) for use in a mains-power socket unless you're running it directly from a car 12v socket. My experience of these sort of travel fridges is that they have a relatively short life (4 similar Sakura models have failed on me) so don't expect miracles. This one has so far run about 3 days total without problems. The market is calling out for a 100% reliable folding fridge for travellers. C'mon UK inventors! Steve Riches, Northampton, UK.

The idea is good, it seemed quite good but the fan broke down 10 minutes after pluged in the car, waste of money.

Bought on 1st of August 2020. Stopped working on 15th September. Wouldn't recommend this product

It did cool ,and looked cool too, but noisy fan puts me off using it, even in car

It is compact and ideal for our needs, if rather noisy. My goat butter remained intact all the way through France!

I needed a practical coolbox for car journeys travelling 3/4 days on vacation. This is ideal, it does not take up too much space, the noise from the heat exchanger fan is acceptable and the bag quickly reaches a cold temperature. Really pleased.
