Great for board repair.
I would highly recommend for Smd work. Fixed a 2015 MacBook Air which included using the hot air gun to put lp8550 LCD driver chip on the board which has 25 solder balls underneath it. Also used it to remove are the components from a donor board. Great bang for the buck. Took away one Star because the tips it came with Break down fast and the power cord to the heat gun was not put on correctly. But all in all Great bang for the buck Love the fact that I can change soldering iron tips.

Do you like fire? Because this is how you make fire.
Just tried my unit after unpacking it. The solder iron side would never heat enough to show the temp on the display, just "---", although it (barely) melted solder. When I tried the hot air reflow side is where it got really fun! Way more fun than you expect from a hot air gun. The fan never turned on when the air gun was heating up. When I noticed the metal output nozzle turning hot metal colors I turned it off, but it was too late! The wand burst into flames at the nozzle and melted the plastic housing. Luckily it was small enough to blow out two or three times and I was able to unscrew the lead and throw it outside before any more excitement. The smell of burning plastic and cheap stamped steel is incredible. The Olympics could save a lot of money on torches by buying these instead of designing their own. I am returning it because I really need a solder station, not a flaming wand of death - although those are cool too, just not as useful for fixing circuit boards.

All worth the money.
I was confused where where the calibration screws were. They are behind rubber plugs on the front of the unit.
