Original Software does not work? Try using Kodi as the Frontend to NextPVR. I've noticed that if you only use NextPVR as your main source the screen will get skippy. Kodi with a buffer lessons that. NextPVR is kinda sticky on Buffering. Kodi has a Plugin for the NextPVR for it. Just look under Addons/PVR, install, when done click configure. Only If you're wanting to watch it on other PC per say, change the IP to the main PVR PC. It'll connect. Remember also to turn on UPnP(PVR) in Kodi in Settings/Services/UPnP. Just the top one in the setttings of the UPnP(PVR) needs to be on. Unless you want your PC to act as a server. Which is not needed if you use NextPVR on another comp. Only if you are doing a out of your network connection. Change Local IP to the Main in Kodi NextPVR configuration to the main PC if you're connecting via another PC/Laptop/Tablet. Works for me.PS. Only one unit can be connected. Other units can connect, but have to watch the same channel. This is not a Multi-Channel unit. Lookup your guide(Area) on zap2it.com, click the "PRTINT", and in the URL of the PRINT page you'll find your LineupID(Somethjing like "SC58417"), and Zip, but you know your zip.1. Place zap2xml.exe in a folder in C called EPG - "C:\EPG"Get YOUR LINEUPID as mentioned above, and CHANGE your ZIP, and LINEUPID.EXTENSION has to be a .BAT file. You need to un-hide your Extension tag to change it.Start/ Control Panel/Folder Options/View/Un-Check "Hide Extensions for known file types"/Apply/OK2. copy this into a UpdateEPG.bat file. Well for starter you need a cd or dvd drive to install the drivers and software. The included software made by ArcSoft is no longer supported. There are free alternatives out there like NextPVR but I was unable to get it to work with the driver windows 10 installed for it. Fortunately I had an old laptop with a BluRay drive so I was able to copy the CD to my home network. At that point had no problem installing the device and registering the included software.Regardless of the antenna used reception is poor even though signal strength as reported by software is maxed out. Neither of the tuners on either of my TV's do this they also pick up nearly twice as many channels using the same antenna in the same location. With SD channels it works fine from what I can tell so there maybe some value there. This symptom was present using the included software and 3rd party software, suggesting it's a hardware problem.The video freezes constantly on HD signals. My purpose for this was for watching sports broadcast OTA with my home theater projector connect via a PC vs sketchy steaming sites. The constant freezing makes it vastly inferior for that purpose. The PC in question is a AMD 6 core CPU (3600) with 16GB or ram, if anyone was thinking it might be the bottleneck.I will not return it as I've notice that sellers will use that as a way to have my review removed and people have a right to see this review.

Decent tuner card, but with a few flaws. First, this thing gets hot quickly. Second, the CD key for the software did not work and the manufacturer never responded to any customer service requests asking for a new one. Finally, using alternative software this device locks on to fewer channels than I am able to find plugging the same outdoor antenna I am using directly into the TV. Overall, I'm disappointed.

Easy to install USB stick tuner card--the software is buggy and theres no recent update(s). It crashes a lot during scheduled recordings leaving you with no recorded content or corrupted mpeg file.

After waiting a long time and paying for the shipment in my country, I receive a totally damaged device, when installed on the USB port of my computer it gets very hot and I never managed to tune in any television channel. I lost the money from the purchase and the money I paid to the carrier in my country. I do not recommend buying these products of such poor quality. Amazon must be careful with these types of companies that deceive customers with lousy products.

After watching TV for a while, the unit bacame quite warm. Had to unplug and let it cool off.

I've been using Arcsoft Total Media for about a year. It all of a sudden wanted my registration id, which, of course, I no longer have. So I sent a note Tech Support. They replied...Sorry we no longer support this product. Have a good day. So I am going to recommend to everyone I know that ARCSOFT TAKES YOUR MONEY and provides no service. So, my recommendation... NEVER, NEVER, purchase anything from ARCSOFT.

Very good quality, just the antenna it contains has very low signal

The product works just fine, when yiu find software that actually works. Could not install what was sent. Key did not work for downloaded software from site. Eventually i used Sichbo PVR and it works quite well.Did not work without finding other software.

Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. I would turn on my pc one day and it would get a signal no problem, other days just a black screen. The software that came with it didn't work so i had to go to the website for the drivers. if it wasn't for other reviews that figure out some solutions, i would be lost.

Love the product....bought 3...works with Win 8.1 and win 10..

I bought this to record old game footage it dose not work with it if you intend to buy it for that purpose don’t buy it, it dose not work
