This is my first adventure in using a safety razor. I have been pleased so far, but it has been a learning process. This razor, however, is better than what I expected, especially for the price. A few quick points. First, its weight. This is a heavy razor, especially the head. I have used a weighted handle to accommodate Mach 3 razors, but this is substantially heavier. I now place my fingers in the handle groove, which is very close to the head. Second, its cutting edge. It has very smooth adjustability settings. I started at one and have moved to 2.5 (out of 6). That seems fine for now. Third, its handle. It has a smooth handle, but that has not been a problem, even with wet fingers. Placing my fingers in the groove, almost as if I am using a pencil, gives me sufficient leverage over the razor to control it. Finally, learning how to shave with a safety razor, generally. I needed to slow down, and shave my face twice - once down, and once up. I also needed to let the razor glide on top of the skin and not let down. Important here is to listen to the razor cutting my beard, not just feeling a shaved face after. Finally, I have learned how important it is to change the blade frequently. For me, that is after the third shave. So good luck!

Excellent quality, looks great and shaves great. The case is well made and sturdy! The included blades are a nice touch and they work wonderfully!

i wanted a blue razor in this style and got what i wanted .Time will tell if the blue will stay blue but the razor is like the silver one in quality. once you figure out the adjustable part where you want it then shave at that number every time. This razor shaves different then my other adjustable razor that's older.like the case

My first experience was with a Parker a little over a month ago...it was miserable. Turns out the problem was I needed and adjustable razor with a closed comb! This was as smooth and comfortable as my Harry's razor that I had been using for more than four years. Took about five minutes longer than normal, but not a single nick or bump. The weight is perfect and the Dorco blades are fantastic. All that comfort with just regular Cremo shave cream. Now off to buy more blades...I've officially converted!

I own the razor that this is a clone of, purchased as a gift. This behaves nearly exactly as the original.

for beginners

It is almost impossible to get the blade to sit straight there is either more gap on one side then the other or the blade sits in at an angle causing you to cut your self i really wanted to like this razor but I guess you get what you pay for

hace tiempo compre una en color plata de otra marca y me decidí comprar esta para regalársela a alguien y cuando llego la compare con la que ya tenia, mi sorpresa fue que esta era mucho mejor en muchos aspectos, primero al tener una terminación diferente se resbalaba menos incluso estando mojada, también en cuanto a la selección de los distintos números esta era mucho mas precisa y sin mencionar que esta trae mejores cuchillas y también una funda(que por cierto hay que tener cuidado al momento de ponérsela por que se puede rayar por el clip). ademas de todo era un poco mas económica que la que compre así que a mi parecer esta era una mejor opción y a quien se la regale le gusto bastante, en resumen SUPER RECOMENDADA

Me sorprendió lo eficiente que es ests maquina a pesar de su precio, es muy práctico el ser ajustable y logra el trabajo que otras maquinas más caras no hacen
