Great shave, but you have to work on technique.
Decided to take the plunge after getting fed up of paying silly money for Gillette Fusion blades. Did some research about good DE razors for beginners and this razor is essentially a clone of an old Gillette tech razor, which are about the most forgiving razor you can get and at £10 is less than a pack of Fusion blades. I would love to say that this is an easy transition to make from cartridge shaving, but it does require patience and work to get the technique right. The first couple of shaves I had lots of little nicks and cuts, but that reduces as your skin adjusts. Now two weeks in I am sold and will never go back to cartridge blades. Still have some way to go with technique and finding the correct blade to suit my skin and beard growth, but it will pay off in the long term. My advice to anyone buying this razor would be to buy a selection pack of blades and work through to find what suits you, also have patience and stick with it.

Back to a double edge razor after 40 years
First.. it's not a butterfly opening razor, but as I didn't want that this is great a simple straightforward well made razor that does the job. Like many reviewers I am returning to the old and trusty double edge razors in part because of the huge amount of plastic involved in the blades and packaging of my existing 5 blade monster. and also the expense of them. So what's it like to shave with.... a joy. I have been using shaving soap and brush for some time so I have lathered up in the usual way and had a my first shave, expecting there to be some cuts after all there is the occasional injury with my 5 blader, however I have used it everyday now for a week and have still not nicked my face. The results with the blade that came with the razor was very good and although was still good for another shave, I replaced it this morning with a Gillette Wilkinson sword blade made in India, sourced from the internet. These blades are packed in a cardboard outer of 10 blades and so no even any plastic there. They worked out at 6p per blade Yes 6p is absolutely wonderful.Ok by the next morning there is maybe a tad more stubble on the chin, but nothing major. Will I go back to the 5 blade monster.... no wayUpdate after nearly 6 months. I am still in love with this razor. I have cut myself once and that because I stupidly moved the razor sideways.... But if I had done that with the multi blade razor I would have had 5 cuts! The photo shows 25 used double edge blades that I keep in the old mint tin. It's not a quarter full and when it is they and the tin will be recycled on the right is one of the old multi blade cartridges which can only go to land fill. And the blade cost to me for nearly 6 months is about £1.50. About how much 1 multi blade would cost

Ditch the plastic!
Fabulous razor. Lots of weight in it and so you don't need to press down much using it. Just as good as my crappy plastic ones of the past. Comes in a nice case so that it stays clean and you can travel with it. I read lots about safety razors before buying it and was almost too terrified to make the change because of them...I have to say, it was all a load of rubbish (they are called safety razors for an obvious reason!)! Haven't cut myself at all and it glides over the skin easily, especially if you use a shaving stick. Don't think twice, ditch the plastic and join the revolution! ;-)

Used it twice so far and very happy with the results
This is my first safety razor so cannot compare it to others. Used it twice so far and very happy with the results. It comes in a nice little plastic case with a mirror though don't see myself using that. It does come with one blade to start you off so ready to go out the box. Razor feels sturdy and has good weight to it. Overall very happy, recommended.

If you are consdering swapping from cartridges, stop reading and just buy a safety razor now.
After reading about the unsustainable and high cost of plastic cartridge and disposable razor blades, I started reading reviews on these 'safety razors'. Another review below says these are basically a replica of an old Gillette 'Victory' product, which is probably true. Basically these all seem to be more or less the same in terms of form, so i plumped for this one which is a cheaper one, and bought 100 Astra blades and an Arko stick for another tenner. So far, £21 spent and I have enough blades to last me more than a year, if I can manage to use this without tearing my face to shreds.Look, I'm not the most gentle or careful person, and I didn't get on too much with the Arko stick - applied it too thick so I'll have to master that as I go... However, just using normal foam, more lightly applied, I have successfully managed to shave 3 times without cutting myself once. And I must say the feel is smoother than with the Mach 3's I've swapped from. And the blades are frighteningly sharp.Makes you realise that Gillette and similar brands realised back in the 50's that they had already perfected shaving, and needed to find a way to make more money. Mach 3 is about £1.50 a blade (compared with about 7p for one of these), and Mach 3 is the cheapest in the range. Basically a total con. My advice: buy a safety razor now, save the whales, save your pocket, love your face!!!Love it!!

Impressive quality and performance.
This is my 4th safety razor and without a shadow of a doubt, the best I've owned. To begin with, the chrome finish is very appealing and the operation of changing the blade is simple but above all - safe. Lesser razors can be less well designed and constructed but the feel of the Kanzy Victory Razor is one of quality. For me, the length of the handle is perfect, I would describe it as mid-size and the best surprise of all, its a good weight and beautifully balanced.Overall fantastic value for money with a performance to rival any other razor I've ever owned - safety razor and cartridge type!

Brilliant 5*
It was my first time using this as I wanted to cut down on my plastic usage and costs on razors and It was the best shave my legs have had for years. It had a great weight to it and was so easy to use! Never going back to more than one blade - its all you need!

Great item
It's very good I am only after using it and I must say it's as good as the big name brands out there but a heads up ladies and gents it's good at finding them spots. My pros would be it gets nice and close to the skinThe face form that came with it allows the blade to glade over your skinVery well made its got some weight to itCons are I'm still to find a fault with it
